Terms of Service

1. Seller, agreement, and eligibility

statementconvert is the seller and the legal business with which you are contracting for access to the service. By creating an account, purchasing a plan, or continuing to use statementconvert, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. Information you provide must be accurate. Notify us through the Contact page if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Your documents and permission to process them

You retain your rights in documents and data you upload. You grant statementconvert the limited permission needed to host, transmit, process, and format that content to provide the service.

You may upload only content you own or are authorised to process. You are responsible for obtaining any permissions required for personal, confidential, or third-party information in a document.

4. Acceptable use

You must not use the service unlawfully; violate another person’s rights; upload malicious content; attempt unauthorised access; disrupt or overload the service; bypass usage limits; reverse engineer protected parts of the service; or use automated means to abuse the service.

5. Subscriptions, credits, and billing

Paid plans renew monthly until cancelled. The price, included page allowance, and other plan limits are shown before purchase. Credits represent pages available for processing during the applicable billing period; unused monthly credits do not roll over and have no cash value.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

By placing an order, you authorise Paddle to charge the payment method associated with your purchase. Paddle handles payment, billing, applicable taxes, invoicing, cancellation, and refund mechanics under Paddle’s Buyer Terms. Plan details, renewal timing, and available subscription controls are also shown before purchase and in the billing area.

6. Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel through the available billing controls. Cancellation stops future renewals and does not itself create a refund. Access and remaining credits continue according to the current paid billing period and then expire. Refund eligibility is governed by our Refund Policy.

7. Results and service availability

Automated extraction can contain mistakes. You must review converted data against the original document before relying on it for accounting, tax, legal, lending, or other important decisions. statementconvert does not provide financial, accounting, tax, or legal advice.

We work to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, compatibility with every statement, or error-free results. We may maintain, change, suspend, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary.

8. Intellectual property

The service, branding, interface, and underlying software are owned by statementconvert or its licensors. These terms do not transfer ownership of the service to you. Your limited right to use the service ends when your account or these terms end.

9. Suspension and termination

We may restrict or terminate access if you materially breach these terms, create security or legal risk, fail to pay amounts due, or misuse the service. You may stop using the service at any time and request account deletion through the Contact page.

10. Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties not expressly stated in these terms. statementconvert is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, revenue, business, or data arising from use of the service.

Where liability cannot be excluded, statementconvert’s aggregate liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid to statementconvert during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights or liability that applicable law does not allow us to limit.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts with jurisdiction under applicable Indian law will resolve disputes, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you.

12. Changes

We may update these terms to reflect service or legal changes. The effective date above identifies the current version. Continued use after updated terms take effect means you accept them, where permitted by law.
